Preliminaries

This is Jake writing.

I'm still in Lancaster, planning to drive to Goshen this coming Wednesday or Thursday. We're flying out to San Francisco on June 1st and hitting the road the same day. I've been riding all week and it sounds like Eric and Jordan have both been on the road for the last two days. We're all discovering the pains of long mileage in the saddle. My body has been amazingly resilient though--no pain the following mornings after my rides. The bike pictured there will be beneath my hindquarters for 50 days soon. And it only cost me a $120 traffic ticket in NYC (where I picked it up) for talking on a cellphone while driving. Perfect...
